The early bird...

catches the worm...eeer...what worm? ROFL

Is that the same worm eating at my brain and keeping me away from my soft bed? It's 6:00am and I am already awake...impossible since I turned in late (2:00am). O.O I can't sleep and I just found out from my dad (an early riser..4:00am but sleeps early also so understandable) that my mom is also having a hard time sleeping.

I turn on the TV (yes, the TV is beside my computer LOL) and I see this early morning talk show featuring people attending the simbang gabi--today marks the start of the "Christmas Ligawan" ROFL. I really can't understand the purpose of Simbang Gabi, well I know it's for Christmas and supposedly a religious practice but do people go to Simbang Gabi for that? or for something else?

My top 5 guesses on why people attend simbang gabi...

5. You're religious (this is the most unlikely reason as I only believe people over 40 and serves in a "community" are likely to attend and not all of them are really "religious" they only think they are =P)

4. For people below 40, makes them look religious even if they aren't (LOL people really like to pretend). Oh and they would most likely drag their children from their beds this early in the morning and push them to be "religious" also. (I am soo bad >=) )

3. You find it cool that you're doing the same thing other people do. Jump into the bandwagon, that's the latest trend! (o..k...this reason sucks but why put it in 3rd!? Coz it's true...ahahahaha!)

2. The puto bungbong and bibingkas look really delicious *yum yum* (if I was to attend the simbang gabi, this would be my reason...ahahaha)

1. Christmas Ligawan!!! When I see young people attending the simbang gabi, and usually couples...well...it only means one thing -- the guy is courting the girl and he's attending the simbang gabi for pogi points. If it's a group thing then it won't hurt if you have your friends to back up your panliligaw. ROFL

I know, i know, the worm eaiting at my brain is jaded...lol..tough luck!

I'll stop for now. Must ponder on what to do on Christmas day (even though I can't really tell that the 25th is close) and what gifts I'd like to receive (odds are for me not receiving any..ahahahaha).

Zigning out...for now~~

Sobrang agree ako sa Number 1! Sa province namin, grabe, puro teen couples ang makikita mo sa Simbang Gabi.
